"I hired Stu and the Savoir Faire Band for my January 15, 2012 wedding, and they rocked! We had the seven piece band, and the sound and energy was incredible. They were great at getting people out on the dance floor, and the set list had something for everyone. Every member of the band was so talented and so much fun. The live music made the party, and many of the guests were wanting to know where we'd found our band! One guest told me, "I've been married 40 years and I've never seen my husband dance this much!" And the husband's response? "The band was good." I guess it's that simple...

Stu was also a great MC for the reception. I didn't want someone that was tacky or over the top, and Stu was just perfect. He announced everything the way we wanted, and he did it in a way that wasn't disruptive and maintained the flow of the party. During the band breaks, Stu jumped on the DJ system and mixed dance music for us. This was a nice addition!

Working with Stu was very straightforward. We had one in-depth meeting with him early on in our planning. After we signed our contract, he continued to be very accessible, returning emails and phone calls promptly. When we decided we needed sound equipment for the ceremony, he added it on to our package for a very reasonable price, and he took care of all the details so that we didn't have to worry about anything. 5/22/2011 Wedding @ Log Cabin Precedio, San Francisco CA. with Stu Cornick and Savoir Faire Band

First let me say, Savoir Faire kicks up the party beyond your expectations. Here's the bottom line...your guests will say things like, "I felt like I was in a movie" if you hire Stu and his band. Hands down the best wedding entertainment I've seen. Savoir Faire played my wedding reception and brought it to another level.
If you're on the fence between getting a DJ and going with the band, go back to your budget and cut everything until the band works. I guarantee it will be worth it. Early on we knew we wanted a band, but were unsure we could afford it and and were really nervous about picking the right one. We wanted a band that felt contemporary, had a lot of range and could really put on a good show. We filtered through hundreds on gigmasters and more. We narrowed it down to about a dozen that we contacted and actually went and heard 3 live to get a feel for what was behind the mp3's. Stu stood out from the beginning.
He has been in the business for a long time, is well known and liked by many other vendors (our caterer - who was also amazing - knew him well and gave the thumbs up). He made us feel comfortable right away, first offering to meet us just to help us get to know him, the process and the opportunity better. He could be a wedding planner himself. He knows the show inside and out. Stu had ideas on the timeline, flow, music and how he would keep our party going. After talking with him I knew these guys were going to bring a show that would be like I was dreaming about.
Savoir Faire will make your night. They have such range, know how to read a crowd and can get everyone up on the dance floor. They were able to play songs from Tony Bennett (father/daughter dance) to Bon Jovi and current dance hits. Unbelievable. Their performance was flawless. Stu MC'd the entire evening, sounded incredibly pro (I can't even explain how cool it was that it didn't come across cheesy - he made the whole evening seem so polished). The band rocked it. Every one of them is incredibly talented...sax, drums, keyboardist, bass, guitar and vocalists.
Oh, and P.S., get lighting...that little recommendation made the night magical.
Stu - we loved our night. Thank you and the band. it was everything you said it would be and more. Fairytales man....that's the business you're in.

10/20/07 Wedding Ceremony, Cocktails and Reception @ the Old Federal Reserve, San Francisco CA *Savoir Faire Duo for Ceremony/Cocktails and Full Band/DJ for Reception

Hi Stu!

John and I had a fabulous time at our wedding. We are clearly a couple who likes to have fun and your services were an important part to our experience and based on our guest feedback, it was superb! Ceremony: During the processional where the wedding party walked to the alter, I thought the music was beautiful. It was exactly how I envisioned – romantic, sultry acoustic sounds echoing throughout the walls of Old Fed. This was perfect and still brings a happy tear to my eye when I think about walking down the stairs to be with John -- the music heightened my emotions so clearly was a part of that. This will always be THE most special moment of my life! Cocktail Hour: Everything was wonderful! I didn’t notice any awkward transition from the ceremony to cocktail, back to reception, which was my main concern. Everything seemed to flow smoothly here and the music was perfect. Dancing Reception: Another FAVORITE part of our evening! John and I had a blast and continue to get guest feedback that they had a great time. One of my favorite comments came from my new father-in-law who commented that he was a little concerned about the “Koreans” (aka, my parents’ friends) because throughout dinner they were very conservative and reserved, but “…I tell ya, once the band came on, the Koreans went nuts (!!) and had fun dancing up a storm (!!) …” You made my parents’ friends feel comfortable enough to let loose and have fun so thank you for that!! Side Notes: Band/Disc Jockey package – I told you this at our initial meeting and I’m now convinced, you should charge more for your services. I don’t know what the competitive rates for Bay Area entertainment services are, but you guys are GREAT and John and I felt we got a good package for all the services you provided us.

“I was the event planner for a recent wedding in which Stu coordinated the musical entertainment and acted as emcee. He was always easy to reach and very responsive to requests for information and advice from the nervous bride in the run up to the wedding. He kindly attended a walkthrough at the venue ahead of the event and made proactive suggestions as to the location and set up of the musicians on the day which allowed us to better coordinate the transition of the space from wedding ceremony to reception on the day. The duo that played the pre-ceremony and cocktail jazz music was first class and the choice of DJ music in between sets was great but, by far the piece de resistance was Savoir Faire, the amazing dance band that played great music for the reception. From 80’s classics to chart topping tunes and slow numbers, everyone young and old was grooving on down and had the best time. The dance floor was full all evening. 9/1/07 Wedding Reception at Trentadue winery, Geyserville CA

Hi Stu,

We left for our honeymoon a couple of days after the wedding and just
got back yesterday! We had a wonderful time in Greece.

AND we had an AWESOME time at our wedding!!!! You guys rocked!! I knew
you would, but you guys more than exceeded our expectations!!
Many guests commented on how much they enjoyed the band. You guys
nailed Living on a Prayer! Thanks so much for learning it, you
definitely need to add it to your list of songs!
Arick and I felt like we were at our own private rock concert, which is
exactly what we wanted!! and I'm glad that our guests enjoyed it too!!
I'm glad that you made some contacts and got some
more business in wine country. Yes, it's a far drive home to Santa
Cruz. I'm glad you guys made it back safe. Definitely would be good to
stay the night for the next time you have a gig up there.
