Event Volume
The band is too loud!
Wedding Bands and cover bands in the bay area are always searching for that fine line between great energy and the client saying “it’s too loud”. Let’s face it, the client is always right and for sure on this topic. The band leader and or sound man have to make sure that the volume is acceptable to the audience considering the fact that you have Grandma, little kids and everyone in between in attendance.
Many times people will want to hire a party band for their special event and end up going with a disc jockey because they are concerned that the band will be too loud. This is a rap that bands cannot afford.
A private party band must be able to adjust and realize that this is not a concert; it’s a well rounded dance party with several factors going on other then music including catering, photography, video and conversations between guests along with the dancing, drinking and fun.
Everyone is affected by the overall volume of the event depending on where it held. If it’s a hotel the guests and the people staying in rooms are affected. If it’s a county club, winery or home, the neighbors are affected. If it’s too loud for the surroundings, the police could be called to the event which can cause major stress. Now matter where the event is held the guests, staff and vendors are all working together and must be able to communicate with each other.
After all, the party band and the party guests want the same thing which is to share that killer energy a great band puts out and the crowd eats up. When the volume is perfect, everyone will enjoy the event and have a great time.
