Stu Cornick's Biography 1994 - 2011
Starting in 1994 with Joel Nelson Productions, Stu gained the valuable experience that launched his career in the Bay Area special events business. In this multi-faceted position at JNP, Stu’s rolls were varied. As a performer his responsibilities included emcee, DJ, KJ, Band Leader, Vocalist and Sound Tech. In the office Stu's roles included booking agent, sales manager, entertainer training, marketing and event coordination for Corporate, Wedding, Bar Mitzvah and all special event clients. In the process, Stu successfully coordinated with fellow vendors, facility managers, catering, photo, video, lighting, sound and professional party planners to ensure high quality events. From 1996-98, Stu was considered by many professional planners and agents to be the top Emcee/DJ in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In 1998, Stu entered a successful business relationship with top professional Event Coordinator/Planner Joannie Liss, which eventually blossomed into a corporate partnership called San Francisco Events. Over the next 9 years Joannie, Stu and their staff planned, coordinated and entertained over 1,000 high-end events including Weddings, Corporate/Company Galas, Non Profit/Auctions and Benefits, Foundation Events, Milestone Birthdays and Anniversaries, Festivals and more. Stu really enjoy working with a talented event coordinator.
Notable clients included Alicia Silverstone/Actress, John Lasseter/Pixar Disney, People Magazine Wedding Editor, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, US Ski and Snowboard Team, Eddie DeBartolo/SF 49ers and most the major sports teams in bay area. They also worked with many of the prominent families and people in San Francisco such as Steve and Pam Middle (JDRF), The Simmons Family (Owners of Pier 39), Mayor Willy Brown and the Hess Family (Levi’s Jeans). Stu has been involved in more than 2,500 events and performances to date at just about every major venue and function from San Jose to San Francisco to Napa Valley and around the country and world. Most notable include the Millennium 2k New Years @ Westin St. Francis, Great American Music Hall, Ritz Carlton, Venetian Room at the Fairmont and the People Magazine Wedding in Stockholm Sweden.
Stu opened Savoir Faire Entertainment in 2007 and continues to be one of the top Wedding and special event acts and coordinators of special events in the Bay Area of Northern California. Most notable include the Red Tie Gala San Francisco, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Tracy Bilitnikoff Foundation, Pixar Disney, Sonoma Mentoring Alliance and singing with 80’s Band “Poison/Brett Michaels” in 2009,
