September 1, 2007 Wedding Reception at Trentadue winery, Geyserville CA

 

"Hi Stu,

We left for our honeymoon a couple of days after the wedding and just got back yesterday! We had a wonderful time in Greece.

AND we had an AWESOME time at our wedding! You guys rocked! I knew you would, but you guys more than exceeded our expectations!! Many guests commented on how much they enjoyed the band. You guys nailed Living on a Prayer! Thanks so much for learning it, you definitely need to add it to your list of songs! Arick and I felt like we were at our own private rock concert, which is exactly what we wanted!! and I'm glad that our guests enjoyed it too!! I'm glad that you made some contacts and got some more business in wine country. Yes, it's a far drive home to Santa Cruz. I'm glad you guys made it back safe. Definitely would be good to stay the night for the next time you have a gig up there.

10/20/07 Wedding Ceremony, Cocktails and Reception @ the Old Federal Reserve, San Francisco

 

" Hi Stu!

John and I had a fabulous time at our wedding. We are clearly a couple who likes to have fun and your services were an important part to our experience and based on our guest feedback, it was superb!

 

Ceremony: During the processional where the wedding party walked to the alter, I thought the music was beautiful.  It was exactly how I envisioned – romantic, sultry acoustic sounds echoing throughout the walls of Old Fed. This was perfect and still brings a happy tear to my eye when I think about walking down the stairs to be with John -- the music heightened my emotions so clearly was a part of that. This will always be THE most special moment of my life!

 

Cocktail Hour: Everything was wonderful! I didn’t notice any awkward transition from the ceremony to cocktail, back to reception, which was my main concern. Everything seemed to flow smoothly here and the music was perfect.

 

Dancing Reception:  Another FAVORITE part of our evening!! John and I had a blast and continue to get guest feedback that they had a great time. One of my favorite comments came from my new father-in-law who commented that he was a little concerned about the “Koreans” (aka, my parents’ friends) because throughout dinner they were very conservative and reserved, but “…I tell ya, once the band came on, the Koreans went nuts (!!) and had fun dancing up a storm (!!) …” You made my parents’ friends feel comfortable enough to let loose and have fun so thank you for that!

 

Side Notes: Band/Disc Jockey package – I told you this at our initial meeting and I’m now convinced, you should charge more for your services. I don’t know what the competitive rates for Bay Area entertainment services are, but you guys are GREAT and John and I felt we got a good package for all the services you provided us.

10/20/07  Wedding Event Coordinator comments

 

“I was the event planner for a recent wedding in which Stu coordinated the musical entertainment and acted as emcee.  He was always easy to reach and very responsive to requests for information and advice from the nervous bride in the run up to the wedding.  He kindly attended a walkthrough at the venue ahead of the event and made proactive suggestions as to the location and set up of the musicians on the day which allowed us to better coordinate the transition of the space from wedding ceremony to reception on the day. 

 

The duo that played the pre-ceremony and cocktail jazz music was first class and the choice of DJ music in between sets was great but, by far the piece de resistance was Savoir Faire, the amazing dance band that played great music for the reception.  From 80’s classics to chart topping tunes and slow numbers, everyone young and old was grooving on down and had the best time. The dance floor was full all evening.

 

Thanks Stu and gang for a great evening’s entertainment.
